Australian HFC, PFC and SF6 emissions: atmospheric verification
- đ¤ Speaker: Dr Paul Fraser, CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research

- đ Venue: Unilever Lecture Theatre, Department of Chemistry
Abstract
In situ measurements of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs) and sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) at Cape Grim Tasmania (41oS) have been use to calculate Australian emissions (2005-2009) of these potent greenhouse gases (GHGs). These emissions have been compared to the Australian GHG national accounts that are submitted annually to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). For the first time, CSIRO atmospheric verification data have been included in the Australian government submission to the UNFCCC .
