Abstract
The talk will give an overview on political network studies in general and quantitative political network studies in particular, especially in the area of international relations and European Union politics. The talk will locate political network analysis in the epistemological landscape of science and will deal with the key question, if “relationalism” could be a background theory or philosophy of network studies. It will discuss the implications and problems associated with this type of theory building in network research.
The talk will be chaired by Dr Mette Eilstrup-Sangiovanni.
