Abstract
This talk should be of interest to those who either have background in analysis or to ones who want to find out how analysis can be applied to real life problems.
In this talk we will introduce Wiener-Hopf method with its applications, in particular to certain acoustic problems. Some difficulties and current limitations of the methods will be described as well as possible ways to overcome them.
Those Wiener-Hopf method have deep connections to many areas in analysis like Hankel and Topletz operators, meromorphic and AAK approximation.
Series This talk is part of the Cambridge Analysts' Knowledge Exchange series.
