Abstract
This seminar will start by introducing the speaker’s research project exploring the influence of Dutch-English bilingual education on the learning of German as a third language (L3). However, the main focus and aim of the seminar is to discuss some of the methodological issues relating to the socio-cognitive approach taken within this research project. It aims to address the issues of a) the relationship between individual and environment, b) defining and researching ‘context’, and c) exploring cognition by analysing interactional processes.
