Abstract
This week FGRS is set to host its second Varsity grudge match of the year as we welcome two speakers with papers on the Early Modern Period.
Our light blue contender this week is local favourite Jonathan Patterson giving a paper entitled βAn ever-present trouble? The continuing yet changing presence of avarice in early modern France (c. 1550-1615)β, whilst his dark blue opponent, Jennifer Oliver, will be speaking on βShips, statecraft and authorship in Ronsard and Montaigne.β.
