Abstract
This talk will describe the work reported in arXiv:1201.2358. I will discuss the gravitational cusp anomalous dimension and show how it can be reproduced from the Newtonian limit of General Relativity in Euclidean AdS space. This is very similar to results already derived for gauge theories, and we will see how the QED and gravity derivations can emerge as special cases of a general formulation with a continuous parameter interpolating between them. We hope that these results may be useful in examining the relations between gauge and gravity theories.
