The Challenge
Your task is to provide an innovative approach to a live challenge presented by 1 of 8 organisations working with current global health issues. Innovative means creating new methods and new ideas which break with conventional expectations.
17th March: Organisations present their challenges to the teams.
All teams will have 1 week to work with a mentor from 1 of the 8 participating organisations, and develop an innovative, but viable, approach to their challenge.
24th March: Teams will present their approaches to a panel of experts and serial entrepreneurs—and there will be a prize for the winning team at the closing wine reception.
Please note that this event requires a week long commitment to the task of problem solving – with guidance from your mentor.
Why participate?
The Global Health Hack Day will engender an atmosphere of entrepreneurship and innovation, bringing together creative, enterprising people who want to put their knowledge to use to improve health in developing countries.
It is a chance to develop transferrable skills that can be used outside of the seminar room or laboratory.
Building on the success of a pioneering collaboration between CUTEC and MedImmune in 2011, this event is designed to ”break down some barriers between academia and industry”.
