Modelling wave-ice interactions
- đ¤ Speaker: Luke Bennetts (University of Adelaide)

- đ Venue: British Antarctic Survey, Room 307
Abstract
Interactions between ocean surface waves and sea ice are conspicuously absent from contemporary ice-ocean models and OGCMs. However, projects are now underway to address the omission. I will talk about the models used to create a wave-ice interaction component for a forecasting model, and show some preliminary results from a prototype model of the Fram Strait.
Series This talk is part of the British Antarctic Survey series.
