Abstract
Nicky Clayton is Professor of Comparative Cognition in the Department of Psychology at the University of Cambridge. Nicky’s research looks at the evolution and development of intelligence in non-verbal animals and pre-verbal children. She’s perhaps best known for her work on “clever birds”, the corvids and their amazing ability to solve problems. Nicky is also Rambert Dance Company’s first Scientist in Residence, collaborating with Mark Baldwin, the Artistic Director, on choreographic works inspired by science. Nicky also teaches salsa!
