Abstract
A tutored wine tasting exploring the Chemistry of wine, and how it underpins flavour, aroma, mouthfeel, maturation etc.
Dr James Hutchinson will describe the science behind a selection of wines and spirits chosen for the Christmas/winter season.
James is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable wine aficionado. He developed his love of wine while studying at Cambridge and now works for the Royal Society of Chemistry.
Limited numbers (30 maximum).
N.B. Only open to SCI & RSC members (plus 1 guest) until 1 December 2012.
Open to general public after 1 Dec 2012. Adults (over 18s) only. Tickets ÂŖ10.
