Abstract
This lecture will aim to inform on the role of consultancies within the UK Nuclear Industry. It will look at the size of the industry, and the role it plays in keeping the lights on, its contribution to decommissioning, as well as briefly touching on work done for the UK naval nuclear market. The benefits consultancies bring to the industry will be discussed. The risks of bringing in consultancy support, and how they can be managed by both parties, will also be covered. The lecture will then move on to give some examples of some engineering projects, both large and small, where engineering consultancies have supported the UK nuclear generation industry.
Series This talk is part of the Engineering Department Nuclear Energy Seminars series.
