Abstract
Bill taught in two Inner London Comprehensive Schools before joining the Faculty in 2000 where he is responsible for The PGCE in Design & Technology. Bill has been involved in 2 research projects recently-A GATSBY funded project entitled Creativity in Design and Technology and an EPSRC funded project, Designing Our Tomorrow (DOT), in collaboration with The Engineering Department in Cambridge, Loughborough School of Design, and The Royal College of Art (RCA). Bill will use his experience in schools as well as findings from his research to inform a presentation and group discussion on how the ‘T’ and the ‘E’ might be represented within STEM -something he believes is missing from current debates/investigations regarding STEM .
