Abstract
The Facility for Airborne Atmospheric Measurements (FAAM) is a joint undertaking between the Meteorological Office and the Natural Environment Research Council. A modified BAe146, based at Cranfield University in Bedfordshire, undertakes a wide range of atmospheric measurements to support the dynamics of weather systems and chemistry and cloud physics studies. Operating in the UK and abroad, the aircraft is fitted with an extensive range of sensors and monitoring equipment. Jamie will present an overview of the aircraft, instrumentation flight operations and the use of the acquired data.
Jamie Trembath is an Aerosol Instrument Scientist and also Deputy Instrument Manager at the FAAM at Cranfield University.
