Abstract
The cell is a highly crowded environment that is made up of different kinds of biomolecules such as proteins, nucleic acids and metabolites. How can one understand such a complicated system as a whole? In this lecture, I will introduce the concept of complex networks. I will then discuss some of the work in my laboratory and highlight the insights gained into the organisation of biological systems at different scales (from angstroms to nanometer to micrometer).
