Pat inherited a cat colony here at Madingley some 40 years ago. He and Prill Barrett conducted a descriptive study of play in cats and Pat had a number of graduate students working on cats over the years. One of the students was Paul Martin. Pat and Paul planned to write a book about play but various things got in the way until recently. They finally completed their book and it will appear in the summer. Pat’s talk will summarise their main conclusions.
