I hope to give an introduction to:

- Why natural ventilation? - The theory of natural ventilation - Laboratory modelling of ventilation flows

And then introduce my research, as a case study. This work focuses on interactions between wind and buoyancy in natural ventilation, which, even with simple geometries, can produce complicated nonlinear results with multiple flow regimes and multiple steady states.

I’ll discuss both theory and experiment, and I’ll look ahead to future work and to applications in real buildings.
