The Cambridge University Energy Network is delighted to invite you all to our next documentary screening!

We will show โ€˜Solar Mamas’ the 2012 documentary by Jehane Noujaim and Mona Eldaief on the personal story of Rafea, a Bedouin woman who is given the chance to travel to India to attend the Barefoot College, where illiterate grandmothers from around the world are trained to be solar engineers.

โ€™It is beautifully shot, nicely structured and gently uplifting and while it has a political message, it most importantly celebrates the strength of women from around the world befriending each other.โ€™- ScreenDaily

The event is FREE of charge.
