Abstract
Paul Christodoulou from IfM ECS will share with us the last 10 years of collaboration between IfM and a range of industrial partners on the topic of ‘global manufacturing strategy’. The talk will describe the background research and how this has been used in live strategy projects with a number of leading multi-national companies (via IfM’s Education and Consultancy Services commercial vehicle). It will include lessons learnt in
• how to find appropriate industrial partners • how to structure collaborative projects • how to balance the needs of industrial and academic stakeholders
The talk will conclude by outlining the next steps in collaborative research in this exciting field.
