Abstract
In this talk, we present a different perspective to understand critical-like behaviour, in the context of Information Theory. The critical point, understood as the thin region of the space of parameters separating two different phases, turns out to be the best choice when a system is used to infer the behaviour from another complex source. Finally, we relate this result with some real systems in nature.
