Inference from Motion Capture Data
- ๐ค Speaker: Daniel Bernhardt
- ๐ Date & Time: Thursday 27 April 2006, 14:15 - 15:00
- ๐ Venue: Rainbow Room, Computer Laboratory
Abstract
My talk will be an overview over my research interests and the work I have conducted since I started last October. My main research topic is the inference of affective states from body motion. After introducing the process of motion capture I will present ways to process the data which make it more viable for pattern recognition techniques. I will then discuss different approaches to complex action recognition from motion capture data, giving results from my experiments with multivariate HMMs.
