Abstract
Inventing novel methods of making fine bubbles, particles, capsules and fibres of the micro-nano scale is an essential part of modern advanced materials science and engineering. The quest to make these structures in a reproducible manner with high productivity and process control is a hot topic of many worldwide research laboratories. These structures play an important part in key areas like healthcare engineering which is of a very high utilitarian value and public demand. The Biomaterials Processing & Forming Laboratory at University College London has been at the forefront of this research and this talk will illustrate how these developments are currently taking place at great pace.
