Wednesday 12th February (8.30-9.30 pm) – Prof Roger Keynes – Repelling nerves – mechanisms and clinical implications

Professor Keynes is a fellow of Trinity College and his research interests involve: growth cone repulsion which is an important mechanism controlling axon growth. During development it guides axons by excluding them from repulsive regions of the embryo. Following injury to the adult brain it may also block axon regeneration, with major clinical consequences.
