Abstract
The talk will look at some of the work being done at BAS to understand the history of the Antarctic Ice Sheet to inform predictions of future sea level rise. Areas covered will include correcting satellite-based estimates of ice mass change, land and ocean evidence of past ice sheet extent and thickness, and a forward look at potential work on the history of sub-glacial seaways.
The talk will be aimed at a non-specialist audience and will last less than 30 minutes!
