Abstract
The negatively charged silicon-vacancy center in diamond has recently been shown to have a bright, spectrally stable optical transition and a nonzero spin ground state. I will present an experiment where we utilized this stable optical transition to demonstrate generation of indistinguishable single photons from separate emitters by a Hong-Ou-Mandel interference measurement. I will also discuss prospects for realization of cavity QED experiments with silicon-vacancy centers in diamond
