Using Computational Fluid Dynamics ‘in real life’ processes
- 👤 Speaker: Professor Harvey Thompson, Professor of Computational Fluid Dynamics School of Mechanical Engineering , University of Leeds
- 📅 Date & Time: Friday 16 January 2015, 13:00 - 14:00
- 📍 Venue: LR3B, Inglis Building, CUED.
Abstract
The increasing power of Computational Fluid Dynamics is being exploited in an ever wider range of practical applications. However, fully exploiting these capabilities to design complex, three-dimensional flow systems often requires intelligent use of statistical and computational methods so that users can derive the maximum benefit from the minimum amount of computing effort. Effective techniques will described via a number of industrial case studies and current research efforts towards the development of real-time CFD will be outlined.
