Abstract

This one day event is looking to reflect on the nature and measurement of Pathways to Impact in the areas of Humanities and Social Sciences.

The day will begin with a short overview of the landscape and characteristics of social science impact activity in the UK, drawing on recent research on measuring and capturing impact in these disciplines and the implications for developing and delivering impact.

There will then follow presentations on a number of case studies from a wide range of Humanities and Social Sciences disciplines, with speakers from the Universities that are participating the ESRC Impact Acceleration Account Programme, including the Universities of Bath, Cambridge, Manchester and Oxford.

From these case study presentations we will look to showcase and derive lessons for good practice, based on examples of delivering and measuring social sciences and humanities impact.
