Color Transformations Across the Life Span: Two Hypotheses about Modulation by Light
- đ¤ Speaker: Professor John S. Werner, University of California, Davis
- đ Date & Time: Wednesday 01 October 2014, 13:00 - 14:00
- đ Venue: Kenneth Craik Room, Craik-Marshall Building, Downing Site
Abstract
Experimental observations will address (1) some functional mechanisms responsible for changes in chromatic sensitivity from infancy to old age, and (2) why color appearance is so stable across the life span despite changes in retinal mechanisms. The point of these studies is not simply to inform us about normal aging, but to use aging as a probe with which to identify underlying mechanisms that operate independently of age.
