Abstract
We are developing a component-based architecture for event-based middleware, with the aim of enabling easy evolution of sensor-based applications. Specific applications include traffic and transport monitoring within and around the City of Cambridge.
In this architecture some event sources may not be public, and it is essential to be able to maintain privacy. We intend to model the components and their connectivity so that we can predict the non-functional characteristics of the software as new sensor sources become available and new applications are deployed. The talk will describe our first steps towards meeting this goal.
Series This talk is part of the Computer Laboratory Opera Group Seminars series.
