Light microscopy techniques remain limited in their ability to penetrate and image intact vertebrate tissues/organs due to the opacity created by light scattering as it passes through multiple lipid and water layers. The speakers will present novel techniques to preserve, optically clear, stain and image whole intact organs and will demonstrate how the application of these techniques can be used to investigate different biological systems.

There will be free pizza, beer and wine! The session is open to all staff and students in the university. Everyone is welcome!
