Abstract
India is one of the oldest South-South development cooperation partners, with a proud history of providing grants, loans, technical assistance and diplomatic solidarity for decades. Like other Southern partners, the last decade could be seen as a very positive one for Indian development cooperation (something explored through a framework of material, ideational and ontological successes). What then about the decade ahead? In this paper I will examine some of the challenges, opportunities and uncertainties that lie ahead. Some are, arguably, inherent to all development partners, some are specific to South-South/Indian discourses and modalities.
