Abstract
We review the recent experimental progress on the use of quantum dots coupled to photonic-crystal waveguides [1]. We show that single photons can be channeled into the waveguide with an efficiency exceeding 98% [2] and discuss a how chiral photon-emission can be achieved in specifically prepared waveguides enabling construction of non-reciprocol integrated photonic devices [3]. Finally, we discuss the prospects of scaling the platform to larger quantum architectures for applications in quantum-information processing, such as efficient photon sorting [4]. References [1] P.
