Abstract
Landau–Ginzburg (LG) models play a central role in mirror symmetry. In particular they allow a proof of mirror symmetry for Calabi—Yau hypersurfaces and a new line of attack to higher genus invariants; we will report a recent successful approach in genus 1 in collaboration with Yongbin Ruan and Dimitri Zvonkine. We also show a generalization of LG models, a hybrid model playing an analogue role for Calabi-Yau complete intersections. This is an occasion to revisit the definition of LG models and to streamline and generalize previous proofs, work in in collaboration with Jan Nagel.
