- 📍 Venue: Seminar Room, Sanger Building, Department of Biochemistry
Abstract
In this talk I will briefly introduce the concept of ‘vectorial metabolism’ and try to demonstrate its relevance not only in biology but also in the earliest stages of prebiotic evolution. Several protocell models, in vitro and in silico, will be discussed to illustrate how chemistry could be enhanced in the context of soft interfaces and lipid compartments.
