Abstract
It has been proven that, compared with the silicon-based counterparts, devices fabricated using III -V semiconductor materials manifest higher performance in some electronic characteristics. We first design a multiplexer on a GaAs/AlGaAs HEMT . Quantum multiplexer exhibits potential for doing a statistical research on quantum physics with large numbers of on-chip devices. We plan to fabricate the multiplexer based on an InGaAs quantum well heterostructure. The InGaAs material has a large g-factor, small effective mass and strong spin-orbit coupling, and therefore exhibits many unique quantum phenomena. We expect to apply the InGaAs-based multiplexer to explore spin-orbit interaction related quantum effects, like to discover the mysterious Majorana fermions.
