Abstract

A collaborative event between Lockheed Martin, Cranfield University and next generation women in engineering celebrating local grass root initiatives that recognise and encourage women in engineering through inspiring students (and teachers) in STEM related subjects.

The evening will feature presentations from local organisations and educational establishments to highlight achievements made by women in engineering. The event will also feature keynote speaker Dr Helen Meese CEng MIMechE, Head of Engineering in Society, Institution of Mechanical Engineers who will explore the wider issue of engaging school students in engineering and the challenges associated with doing so.

Date: Thursday 19th November

Time: Refreshments from 6:30pm. Talk starts at 7pm. Concluding by 8.30pm following questions.
