At 80,000 hours, we specialise in working with driven individuals to design high impact career pathways. This careers workshop will introduce you to the key concepts that underpin the 80,000 hours careers framework and equip you with the tools to make career decisions based on optimising your impact. Our workshop speaker is Rob Wiblin, one of the founding team and the Director of Research at 80,000 Hours. The workshop will end with small group discussions tailored around exploring your personal career options and where you should head next.

About the speaker: Rob Wiblin is the Director of Research at 80,000 hours. Rob studied both genetics and economics at the Australian National University, graduating top of his class and being named Young Alumnus of the Year in 2015. He ‘earned to give’ as a research economist in various Australian Government agencies, and then moved to the UK to work at the Centre for Effective Altruism, first as Research Director and then Executive Director. He is also Secretary of the board of Animal Charity Evaluators and a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community.
