Abstract
Tom was the Deputy Director of the Government Digital Service in the Cabinet Office until October 2015. He will talk about the history and the lessons learned from 5 years with the GDS and the challenges of implementing Digital by Default in the public sector. The Financial Times recently reported that GDS was generated ÂŖ1.7 billion in savings on a budget of ÂŖ58 million in 2014-15 alone.The talk should be of interest to anyone concerned with maximising the potential of Digital to provide better services at lower cost.
