Abstract
Twistor geometry has been studied for 50 years, but has much more recently taken a central place in the theory of scattering amplitudes for fundamental particles. I will review the main features of twistor representation, as first elucidated by Roger Penrose, and explain their relationship to modern developments such as the ‘amplituhedron’ of Nima Arkani-Hamed et al. The talk will be similar in character to the recent review Twistors and amplitudes, Phil. Trans. R. Soc. A 373 : 20140248.
