Abstract
Chemical sensors can detect the presence and monitor the concentration of chemical compounds.
There is a need to measure all sorts of chemicals around us; there is a need to know the quality of the air we breathe, industries need to monitor chemical processes to make them more efficient, and clinicians want to measure the chemicals we emit in our breath or urine as they provide information about our health.
The talk will describe novel sensing technologies and their applications.
Series This talk is part of the Darwin College Science Seminars series.
