Abstract
With the progress of Terahertz (THz) technologies in recent years, a wide range of applications have emerged, including security screening, non-destructive testing, gas sensing, biomedical imaging and communication. Active control over the properties of Terahertz frequencies is essential for all of these applications, including the controllable modulation of the phase, amplitude and polarisation of Terahertz radiation. I will be discussing a simulated design for an integrated Chiral metamaterial and Graphene device capable of modulating the polarisation of Terahertz radiation. This device should be capable of actively controlling the conversion of linear polarised radiation to circular polarised radiation whilst also being capable of twisting the angle of an incident linear polarisation to a degree determined by an applied voltage.
