Abstract
Ken McNamara, Director of the Sedgwick Museum, will talk about his research into the effects of environmental changes on trilobites found in a spectacular 370 million year old fossil reef system in northern Western Australia. The fauna was strongly affected by two globally recognised mass extinction events and studies of these may provide an insight into the impact of changing nutrient fluxes on biodiversity.
