Abstract
As Peterborough’s economic development company, Opportunity Peterborough has long recognised the importance of sustainability to the local economy. The seminar will briefly cover the history of the sustainability movement in Peterborough from Environment City to Environment Capital. More recent sustainability developments through Peterborough’s role as one four UK Future City Demonstrators will also be discussed including the Circular Peterborough initiative. Trevor Gibson is the Smart City Leadership and Development Manager with Opportunity Peterborough.
