Abstract
In this talk the problem of pairwise registration of functional and/or shape data, when the problem is cast within the framework of determining a warping or reparameterization function that best matches the functions/curves, will be discussed. Based on a constructive definition of a distribution on the set of warping functions, model and stochastic optimisation-based approaches to the registration problem will be discussed. Some examples from simulated and real datasets will be presented.
