Abstract
Gastroenteritis remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide and is the second commonest cause of death in young children in resource poor settings, responsible for an estimated 578, 000 deaths in children under the age of five in 2013. The introduction of rotavirus vaccines in has contributed to significant reductions in the burden of rotavirus diarrhoea, and the number of deaths in children
