Abstract
Integrating biological data is important for computational biology but is complicated by the fact that new types of data constantly emerge. The FlyMine project started out as a system to integrate diverse Drosophila/ Anopheles datasets and make them available through a powerful query interface capable of constructing complex queries and running them quickly. The underpinning InterMine system is generic and greatly reduces the effort needed to build and maintain both large and small high performance data warehouses.
