Abstract
Professor Mete Atatüre works in the Cavendish Laboratory at the University of Cambridge and researches in solid-state implementations of possible quantum technologies. In particular, his research investigates the feasibility of emergent materials that offer clear advantages for quantum communications and sensing applications, such as diamond and layered materials. He is part of the AMOP group in the Cavendish Laboratory and runs a research group of about 10 PhD students and 5 postdocs. He is a fellow of the Institute of Physics and the Turkish Science Academy. He has 65 publications. His talk will take you along the road of quantum technologies come and take the journey with him.
