- đ Venue: Rutherford Seminar Room B
Abstract
Monte Carlo event generators have become indispensable workhorses for particle collider experiments as well as phenomenological studies. I will describe state-of-the-art event generator techniques and highlight the recent development of the Herwig 7 event generator, with particular emphasis on improvements of the hard process to include next-to-leading order QCD in multijet final states. I will also address steps towards parton shower uncertainties, and possible future challenges in parton shower development.
