Abstract
In this talk I will present some of our recent results on multipartite entanglement manipulations and entanglement measures. In particular, I will present a generalization of the notion of maximally entangled bipartite states to the multipartite case and will demonstrate a new approach of quantifying entanglement using operational entanglement measures. Some new insights into local protocols for entanglement manipulation utilizing only finitely many rounds of classical communication and generic results on n-partite qubit states will be presented.
