Abstract
This is the first event in the `Cambridge Conversations in Translation Lent series’. It will take the form of a panel discussion. Our two speakers, Dr Adrià de Gispert and Dr Marcus Tomalin, will discuss how machine translation systems work and they will explore the impact of recent advances in the technology. There will be plenty of opportunities to participate in the discussion, so the panel session should be of interest if you are currently undertaking research in this area, or if you simply wish to know more about state-of-the-art systems.
