Abstract
This seminar will evaluate the impact of Camfed’s comprehensive and targeted approach on dropouts and learning for marginalised girls in Tanzania and Zimbabwe.
We find impacts on dropout reductions from removing financial constraints in both contexts, though more in-class support is needed for weaker learners and also find that the intervention helped to narrow the learning gap for girls facing the greatest degree of marginalisation (low income, having a long term illness or disability or low self-esteem).
Series This talk is part of the REAL Centre series.
